Critics look at painting like critics not like artists.

You cannot draw a line that is not a borderline

Abstractions have nothing to do with reality

Drawing is deception

Art call for complete mastery of techniques developed by reflection within the soul.

Art is the way to the absolute and essence of human life.

We have more faith in what we imitate than in what we originate

Art lives where absolute freedom is, because where it is not there can be no creativity.

Don’t seek knowledge discover the cause of ignorance

Everyone has talent, what is rare is the courage to follow that talent to the dark place it leads.

Ideas are seldom stolen but they are often dissipated by too much talking.

Be regular and orderly in your life, so that you may be violent and original in your work.

I draw because I don’t know what I think until I’ve seen what I’ve drawn.

Haptic drawing: how you feel abut a subject.

You must be smart enough to draw and stupid enough not to worry about what other people think of it.

Most of us could slay dragons if we had to: what we hate is swatting flies.

Once creative powers are freed in one direction, the awakening of a higher power sets in.

The Ark was built by amateurs, the titanic was built by experts

Stay with the painting you can’t finish. That’s where the shame is that is blocking your revelation.

To create is to be reborn.

The person who asks the question will not survive the answer. In hearing it you are changed.

The role of the artist is to see what we all can to see, but are unwilling to look at.

The artist’s struggle to transcend pain can become hope for others.

Everyone has talent at 25, the difficulty is to have it at 50.

All art comes from anger, jealousy, greed, spite and insecurity. Most of my pictures are revenge fueled by frustration: a terrible state of mind.

The price of greatness is responsibility.

To create and retain in some sacred place, the likeness of a thing vital to one’s interest was to have power over the thing itself, and thus indirectly over ones own fate.

“Artists are grandson’s unto God.” ~ DaVinci
