Holy crap! I just spent $35 on framing wood.
When did lattice striping become so expensive?
Wow, that’s a lot for a work that I am giving away.

I guess I shouldn’t think of it that way. Missy wanted these paintings and I should just be happy she is willing to hang them up. Besides they look extra spiffy with the thin black frame box.

These are part of the Silhouette series I worked on last year. I did some in paint and some in pastels. The original idea for these came from a trip to the Chicago Museum.
It’s a new approach to the human body for me. This is more concerned with the contour edge and color. They are almost landscape paintings.

This is a unity of opposites. Showing the warmth of flesh against a cool sky.
Skin contains, sky expands with a thin borderline separating none from the other.

Turns to the TV:
NBC is doing a “Special News Report” on the book of Revelations. Which apparently is nothing more than a half=hour commercial for a book “Left Behind” and an NBC Movie of the week: Revelations. Of course there is absolutely no mention of non-Christian beliefs or any scientific proof that these are the last days; but they do mention that our own president Bush has read the book……..dangerous times indeed.

Oh, and apparently PA is trying to pass a law punishing retailers who sell violent and sexual video game to underage children. This law wouldn’t punish the video game makers who ultimately profit from the sale. Nor will it punish the parent who gave the kid the money and lets the kid sit home and play video games. Just punish the middle man. Seems just.
